The goal

The project goal is simple: make it easier for kids and families to find usable sports balls at neighborhood parks.

Operating model

A workable distribution model includes:

  • Inventory checkpoints to track available equipment.
  • Lightweight placement schedules across participating parks.
  • Local feedback loops to identify shortages and maintenance needs.
  • Clear ownership for replenishment and quality checks.

Where software helps

Software should support the process, not dominate it. A small, reliable system can track inventory, make replenishment visible, and help organizers prioritize parks with the highest demand.

This is the kind of community infrastructure I want to keep building: practical, measurable, and equitable.
